Russ is an expert financial planner who built a business from nothing and knows how money and taxes actually work for individuals, families and small businesses. This expert knowledge is very helpful on tax and spending issues on Congress. He understands the numbers.

Over 40 years in Portland Area
Russ’s family moved to Portland from Washington when I was 12 years old. Other than his time in the Marines and a year in Los Angeles, he has lived in PDX most of his career. His three children grew up there. He and his wife now live in Southern Oregon.
Education – Four accredited degrees
Two earned master degrees (MBA,MSFS) and two bachelor degrees. Russ understands Oregon economics, taxes, business, financial planning, and more. He also has a Leadership Certificate from Harvard University.
US Marine Veteran – 3 Years Active Duty
Honorable Discharge from 3 years of active service. A 15 month overseas deployment away from home. Some disabilities from his service. Russ understands in an intimate way the needs of Oregon’s veterans and those who have been disabled.

Understanding money and how it affects all of us in our personal lives is critical for goverment policies like taxes and spending. It is the American taxpayer that funds the government. Congress should never forget that – it is not their money – it is ours.
